General Information

Concept

The participants will visit 20 of a total of 21 different workshops which will cover the current imaging approach to the diagnosis of diseases. Furthermore, interventional techniques will be discussed. The instruction will be in groups of approximately 50 participants. Each class room is equipped with a sufficient number of computers, on which individual viewing of the cases in small groups of 2-3 students is possible. Typically, a workshop consists of some introductory remarks by the teacher, self-study of the case material for 15-30 minutes and discussion of the cases with the teacher in the remaining time. The case viewing is supported by a special software, uniquely developped for IDKD and drawing from the extensive expertise with electronic teaching accumulated by IDKD over the last years. In addition, there is one "highlight" lecture each day covering new developments, overviews or political issues in radiology.
