Concept

The IDKD – International Diagnostic Course in Davos – is in its 42nd year. It has witnessed
a great success and constant growth, based on an excellent and unique teaching concept and a highly qualified International faculty. IDKD is organ-based with annually changing topics: Chest & Heart – Abdomen – Musculoskeletal – Head & Neck, Spine.

Concept IDKD Greece 2010

IDKD – International Diagnostic Course Davos – offers interactive, organ-based teaching workshops with annually changing topics.

In 2010, the IDKD in Greece will be held again, after very successful courses in 2008 and 2009.
For the first time, it will be run as an intensive course featuring 16 different workshops covering imaging of important diseases of the brain, head, neck and spine. In addition, interventional techniques and other topics will be discussed in highlight lectures and demonstrated during practical workshops. During workshops, participants study and discuss the case material. Teachers then guide the participants through the cases, discuss the differential diagnosis, present additional material and ask questions. Teachers can easily be approached during breaks to individually discuss unsolved problems

Participants rotate in groups through all the workshops during three and a half days, Thursday morning through Sunday noon. Group size is approximately 50 students.

For the first time this year the cases for review will be presented as video loop on the classroom VCR projector.

IDKD will not provide classroom computers.

However, participants may themselves bring a laptop (PC or Mac) to the workshops, as all participants will receive USB sticks containing the IDKD software with all the cases for review during the workshops. 220 V electric outlets will be provided in the class room.
