GENERAL INFORMATION
- Founded in 1969 – Aim: To Organizing annual postgraduate teaching courses in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Motto: “Excellence in Teaching”.
- Courses are organ-based (Brain, Head & Neck, Spine – Chest, Heart and Vascular System – Musculoskeletal Diseases – Abdomen & Pelvis) repeated every four years.
- Highly interactive workshops are complemented by highlight lectures and other educational activities
- Teachers are internationally renowned experts who teach groups of a maximum of 60 and are also approachable during breaks.
- IDKD also offers weekend courses about special topics in Davos.
- The case viewing, voting, course evaluation and CME credits are supported by IDKD’s own software.
- Participants receive a high-quality IDKD book, providing background information about the cases presented during workshops.
- Additional IDKD courses are run in Athens, Singapore and Sao Paolo.
- IDKD is run by the “Foundation for the Advancement of Education in Medical Radiology”, a non-profit organisation located in Wallisellen, Canton of Zurich.

The International Diagnostic Course Davos (IDKD) is sponsored by this non-profit organization under Swiss law, which has the aim to further education in the field of Radiology. Very well attended Radiology teaching courses have been organized since 1969 under the direction of Drs. Alois Rüttimann and Peter Braun. The current course directors are Jürg Hodler, Rahel A. Kubik-Huch and Justus E. Roos.
